Privacy Policy – Atelier Dwell

Effective: May 8, 2026

Our approach to privacy

We design Atelier Dwell to collect as little personal data as possible. We believe that privacy is not about hiding – it’s about control, clarity, and respect. This document explains exactly how we handle your information.

Our privacy principles

  1. Data minimisation – We only collect what is technically necessary to operate the site and to fund it through advertising.
  2. No sale of data – We never sell, rent, or auction your personal information to anyone.
  3. Transparency – We explain who processes your data and why, in plain language.
  4. User control – You can manage or delete cookies at any time.
  5. Security by design – We apply technical safeguards to protect your data from unauthorised access.

What we collect

Automatically:

  • Your public IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system and device type
  • Pages visited, date and time of your visit
  • Referring website (if applicable)

Via advertising partners:

  • Pseudonymous identifiers (cookie IDs, device advertising IDs)
  • Browsing behaviour across websites (to serve relevant ads)
  • Ad interaction data (for campaign measurement)

We do not collect your name, email, postal address, or any other directly identifying data unless you decide to contact us.

Why we collect this data

  • To keep the site secure – IP addresses and logs help us detect abuse and protect the server.
  • To improve our content – Aggregated, anonymous statistics show us which pages people find useful.
  • To display advertisements – Advertising is how we keep the content free. Partners use cookies to show you ads that are more likely to be interesting to you.

Cookies and similar technologies

Third‑party advertising networks place cookies on your device. These cookies:

  • Store a random identifier – not your name or email.
  • Help show you ads that match your interests.
  • Limit the number of times you see the same ad.
  • Measure whether an ad was seen or clicked.

You can disable cookies at any time via your browser settings. Look for “Privacy” or “Security” → “Cookies”. Deleting or blocking cookies will not prevent you from reading our content.

Your rights under the GDPR (EU/EEA visitors)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion
  • Restrict processing
  • Object to processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent for advertising cookies

To make a request, email [email protected] with “CCPA Request” as the subject. We will reply within 45 days. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

Legal basis for processing (EU/EEA)

  • Legitimate interest – Processing server logs to ensure site security and produce anonymous usage statistics. We have balanced this against your rights and concluded that the processing is minimal and justified.
  • Consent – Advertising cookies are placed only after you have given your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.

International data transfers

Some advertising partners may process cookie data in countries outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, they rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular software updates to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100 % secure.

Children’s privacy

Atelier Dwell is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
